The dark blobs in the back are his wings which is made from his shadow. And the shadow ora coming from his ears is always like that.

The shadow ora that is coming from the staff is holding the white glowing gem in place. This shadow ora maybe a shadow but the shadow ora on the staff is harder the steal. But lighter then air and the ora constantly shifts.

His left eye has no black patch but his left hind paws is pure white. And yes inside his ears are white.
